2011 Frontier Market

Hours:

Saturday - 9 AM until Dusk
Sunday - 9 AM until 5 PM

The Charlotte Frontier day’s festival is always the first weekend following Labor Day. My name is Carolyn Driver and I am in charge of running the Frontier Market. The Frontier Market is located at the Eaton County Fairgrounds on the grounds beside the grandstands.

In 2009 we had over 75 vendors selling almost everything that you could imagine. I have visited many flea markets but nothing as large as this is.

We have AvonMary KayTastefully SimpleCookie Lee and other name brands that came in 2009 to set up. We had tee-shirt vendors, and all types of western wear available. We had original Indian jewelryBlankets, those huge one’s that are really soft, we had a couple vendors selling those. Touch lamps, scented candles. I have seen odds and end items from the past. This could be a collectors dream!

Do you like real leather items? Many of the belts and other leather goods are made and personalized right before your eyes. I had a man tell me he was there last year to purchase another belt. His old belt that he purchased 10 years ago was finally at the end. That’s quality! When you get this many vendors crammed into one space it can only mean one thing, savings!

In 2006 we started a new section exclusively for vendors selling sportsman goods, new and used. It’s September and getting close to the rut. I attended one of these Flea markets this last summer that was listed as a sportsman Flea market. I found quite a few great deals that normally I would have purchased these items at retail prices just before the big hunt. Things present were boats and motors, compound bows, knives, arrows, sights, blinds, targets, ammo, used shot guns, decoys, and of course you will run into an expert on what you are attempting to hunt. Most of the time the knowledge you get is worth attending such an event.

Vendors that promote their products and services will be on site. Have you ever considered owning your own dish network or changing to cable TV? Do you have a need for a water softener or needed another cell phone or accessories? There should be vendors at our upcoming show that you will be able to talk to.

Food. There is nothing like those freshly made pretzels, or maybe a barbequed pork sandwich. We normally have at least 5 food wagons set up to keep around the grounds to take care of the hunger when the time is right.

If you have questions about becoming a vendor or exhibitor, you may contact me via email, tercardriver1@yahoo.com or visit our fantastic website, see photos and get some more information on our complete festival www.charlottefrontierdays.com.

See you soon.
