Charlotte Frontier Days Scholarship Competition Enters Its 2nd Year!

This year brings the 43rd annual Charlotte Frontier Days festival and the 2nd annual King and Queen Education Scholarship Competition.

The winning court will include a King, a Queen and first Runners Up under each. Two girls and two boys will win scholarship money toward tuition and books at the college of their choice. Criteria for entry and judging will be grade average (3.0 or above required), community involvement, goals for the future, and demonstrations of good citizenry and kindness.

Judging will take place on Thursday night, September 5, 2013, during Family Night at the Saloon. The King and Queen will represent the Court during various events throughout the festival and the coming year.

The competition is open to Eaton County students who are juniors and seniors in the 2012/2013 school year, and college freshmen between the ages of 16 and 20 who are attending any college as long as they are Eaton County residents (or parents are residents if students are living on campus).

To apply, pick up a packet at Charlotte High School or the County Journal office, or click the link on the right to download and print the forms.
