The 2011 Campbell Dance Studio
"Dancing Deputies"!

The Campbell Dance Studio is back again, celebrating their 37th year of participation, with the popular “Dancing Deputies” dance group.   Wilma Campbell, former local Dance Studio owner, added the entertaining addition back in the early years of the town’s celebration.  These exceptional ladies have dubbed themselves “step-sisters” and have shared wonderful friendships over the years.   Often a commitment of this type is far too great for most people, but because the “Deputies” perform for just limited engagements, it is tailor made for their lives.   The 2011 “Dancing Deputies” are:

Terri Cicorelli is Vice President of family owned "Frank's Food Mart", and also a self-employed bookkeeper.  She claims her love for dance, and the relationships it has built over much of her adult life... is "priceless"!

Denise Dahlgren, started with the group in 1997.  She is employed by the State of Michigan,. Denise is an extremely dedicated dancer, and adds a lot of energy to our rehearsals, as well as the performances!

Sharla Piepkow, is employed by Jackson National Life. Sharla has been with the Campbell Dance Studio since she began as a child.   She is a volunteer for Frontier Days, helping organize the Parade route.

Lexie Balch is dancing for her fifth year as a Deputy, and proving once again that all those lessons and paying attention in class, really paid off.  She earned a Certificate of Achievement at Lansing Community College in Administrative Office Technology and she is currently employed at Tropical Tanning.

Jillian Yeates This is Jillian's fourth year as a dancing deputy after growing up dancing with the studio. She is entering her third year of law school at Cooley Law. She can't wait to see everyone down at the saloon!

Lauren St. John is employed at MSU's Center for Integrative Toxicology as an Editor.  She also does freelance invitation design work, and has a very unique, creative style with it.  She and her sister Grace both grew up within the Campbell Dance Studio family.

Grace Parker graduated in December from MSU, and is employed by Superior Growers Supply in East Lansing as a website specialist.  She is Lauren’s sister, and the 2 of them are dancing for their third year as Deputies.

Kassondra Campbell is employed by Auto-Owners Insurance Company.
This is her second year performing with the group, and she is looking forward to another fantastic  year!

Audrey Dahlgren graduated in May from Michigan State University with a Communications degree.  She is the daughter of Dancing Deputy Denise Dahlgren and will be interning this fall at HOMTV in Okemos.  She has been dancing since the age of five and is very excited to be dancing at the saloon for the first time as a Dancing Deputy with her mom.

Heather Moore has been with Campbell Dance Studio for 16 years and has always dreamed of being a Dancing Deputy.  That dream came true this year, and she is honored and excited to be a part of the group.  Heather is employed as a stylist at The Hair Professionals, and enjoys being part of her hometown celebration.

Lori Baum is the Campbell Dance Studio owner, choreographer, and instructor of the “Dancing Deputies".  She is extremely proud of her dancing “step-sisters”, and loves being able to be part of the entertainment for the community festival!

The “Deputies” are so thankful for their wonderful sponsors who have been a huge part of   their success!  (The number in parentheses refers to the number of years as sponsors.)   Eaton Federal Banks (35), Franks Food Mart (22), The Ski Loft  (19), Flamingo Tanning & Nails (18), Charlotte Lithograph (18), Silk Screen Stuff (15), The Gavel (7), Keehne’s Collision (6),  Dr. Heidi Hansen(3), Cottage Inn Pizza (3), Charlotte Jaycees (3),  Sanborn Signcrafters (3),Tim’s Auto Repair (1), Moore’s Country Living (1).   Also, to Yutzy’s for the use of their hay wagon for the float!
